Negotiation

Negotiation is a concept which is of ultimate importance in a business scenario. Businesses will always have various differences in terms of strategies, policies and policies to be adopted to accomplish a task. As a business is generally concerned with numerous stake holders, an entrepreneur has to satisfy the needs of each and every one involved. In such circumstances, the role of negotiation will come in to the picture.

People always want to obtain the best outcome whenever a disagreement happen. But, proper care is to be taken such that both the parties/ people involved will not face any kind of bias while deriving a solution for the issue. The following steps can be taken while negotiating a deal.

1. Preparation:- Here,we can plan about how the meeting can be scheduled, finding out the factors that can be supportive to each parties while moving on, identifying various constraints involved and so on.
2. Discussion:- Here, individual views are been presented. Both parties should carefully listen to each others queries.
3. Both the parties will clarify each others goals, to deliver a better negotiation deal.
4. Both the parties should then push towards a win-win outcome so that, each party will have a considerable amount of gain in the process.
5. Final agreement
6. Implementation of decision taken

But unfortunately, most of the disputes doesn't give enough room for both the parties to go through the above steps. In such cases, the following attributes will be helpful.
1. A positive attitude towards the situation
2. Profound Knowledge about the matter
3. Strong Interpersonal skills and so on.




So, a key learning should be that, we should never try to accommodate other party's needs while negotiating. But, we should not deny them their most deserved right in a deal during the procesess.
